Transporting Repco Supercars across the Ocean

With Round 3 of the Repco Supercars in Taupo, New Zealand, teams need to get their high performance cars safely across the Tasman. And how do they do this? In modified shipping containers of course. 

How many containers does each Supercar team need?

Each two car Supercar team gets 1 x 40ft high cube container to transport their cars. For teams running 4 cars, they get 2 x 40ft high cube containers. Brad Jones racing has decided to put all 4 cars into one container, and all their spare parts and support equipment into the second container.

How many cars can fit into a shipping container?

Up to 4 cars can fit into a 40ft shipping container. To fit the cars into a container, an R-Rak has been used. This safely elevates the first car, with the second to sit almost directly below it.

This Rak is also compatible with 20ft shipping containers, which can store up to a maximum of two cars.
